i am restless!!

it's been awhile since i blogged.. yeah like 10 minutes ago.. what have i been doing?? the previous post was supposed to be posted a week ago.. i was just..procrastinating?? a lot of things on my mind.. my IJAF (Internal Job Application Form). Our company have different openings for new positions, a chance to widen my social circle and be in a different work environment... if only, i'm not stubborn and anti-social *at times*. i'm crossing my fingers and toes for this.. but what ever happens.. shit will always happen..

so while taking my mind off things, i decided to reconstruct this trusty old blog.. talk about diversion.. but still...

i have a gazillion things in mind.. these applications, the rodcon, the summer escapade.. and yes i attended the UP job fair too, last 25th.. I volunteer as an HR Recruitment Officer for a day... Me and Ice volunteered actually right after our wednesday shift.. we went straight to the busy UP campus.. in the hopes of.. selling the company.. yup, it was like poaching.. subtle poaching of a pool of fresh young fishes.. about to take a bite at reality.. reality bites back, i told them. so better hop right on to our ship.. hehe.. o well, we were really tired by the end of the day. my back was screaming like hell and yes, 48 hours of non-stop talking is pretty nerve-wrecking.... i was beginning to sound mentally retarded by the time that we had our lunch. and yes, it could be a possible symptom of neurosis.. good grief!

we had like 3 hours of sleep and went back to the office. ice was nice enough to bring me to her pad. it was just near the office. after the job fair, we just simply head on home and hit the sack.. man, the things you do for the sake of... well, just for experience sake... and it's UP.

speaking of UP, UP Dharma Down will be performing in the upcoming READ or DIE Convention.
it's something to look forward to.. and maybe more sleepless days and nights for this..

i simply need a vacation... ay, caramba!

once again.. we'll hit the blue waves and white sandy shoreline of bora.. we're planning the trip as early as.. now.. i've applied my leave already...

i'm also thinking of going home this march..

hmmm.. lots of things to do.. waaaahhhh!!

i'm so restless! like literally.

wanted: sperm donor?

o yeah.. like it's shocking! we're all adults here. aren't we?

i like seeing babies. babies that coo, babies that yawn and stretch. i like babies. babies not kids. kids are too rowdy for me. they tend to tire me. i simply like watching innocence at its best. babies, i damn envy them. their skin so fair, so smooth, so fragrant. they sleep mostly 24 our a day. nothing to do. eat, sleep and listen to their mother's lullaby, or perhaps eavesdrop to their parents' discussions.snob their relatives or pee on unwanted visitors. ah, what a life. moving on,

In terms, of reproduction (human that is) it is a general notions that 1+1= 1 not 2 unless you'll be having twins or if you get too generous 5. To replicate our good genes is essential to pass our distinct traits and to perhaps achieve world domination. Nowadays, we have a lot of a cases of unwanted reproduction and abortion too. I don't know why there's sudden change of hormonal imbalance in humans. it's very alarming. perhaps, because of those V rated movies or perhaps out of our pandora's box syndrome. Remember, curiosity did not kill the cat but it simply caused multiple mutations.

The point is, the basis of today's overpopulation is this--our brains have been dislocated. It's no longer on top of the skull as the seat of wisdom. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it lies in between our crotch. tsk tsk tsk. And as much as we want to maximize our ability to increase in number, we must also be concerned with how to go about raising those little parasites. Not a moral zealot here, but o well, you can throw in the rocks anytime, if it makes you happy. pardon the sarcasm, i think i've been watching HOUSE M.D. too much.

Moving on, I know that as of now that I am not the relationship-type of person. And as per DNA replication, I am very much concerned in my mate's genetic make up. Genes-wise, I would like the following to be attributed to the possible donor:

1. humor gene- i know there is no such term as the humor-gene. I just want an offspring that is genetically-endowed w/ infectious laughter and that he or she has razor sharp mind and is able to come up witty jokes. It may not be as good as impromptu or stand-up comedians but o well... we can only hope but not expect.

2. savant or idiot.- of course, who wants an idiot. maybe an idiot savant would do. less is always more. I know, i.q. is not always in the genes.. or maybe it is..

3.must not have the faulty-heart, hypertension or perhaps demented perception of reality- either way, i don't want it the offspring to possess both dominant traits. too much of something is always bad.. look at Frankenstein or Freud perhaps.

bottom line, i'm not that good in genetics, the whole nature versus nurture took its toll on me in my psych 101 class, nor is this a desperate cry to be saved from single hood.. it's just one of those days when your hormones got whacked and perhaps because it's a Monday.

i'm becoming redundant to.. an indication of possible mutations, the repeated use of the word "perhaps" for one.. tsk tsk tsk

better yet, maybe i should pay my baby niece a visit. babies have a calming effect on me.. they're like chamomile.

seriously??

seriously? do you take self-evaluations, supervisor feedbacks, seriously? I mean, here's a paper saying tell me how wonderful I am or how much you love and idolize me. And here I am saying " I am a bad liar!"

seriously? do i have to sugar-coat everything or do you have to be lethally and brutally frank??

seriously, you cannot please everybody. I know...so why take it so seriously??

seriously... i am annoying and

seriously, i need to sleep.

sunday mornings

i'm not a fan of sundays. yup it is sabbath day. not for me. yes, we have to go to mass. not me. smite me lord for not doing my obligation. smite me for whining during your own rest day. smite me for ranting on a sunday morning. the reason why i hate sundays...well.. on sundays, that our gen.cleaning day. i am particularly assigned to scrubbing the floor cinderella style.. i'm not a filthy heaten. I like our place to be squeaky clean. i can be oc.. but not always.. but just imagine after your shift you'll do the darn cleaning.. it ain't pretty.hehe.yes it's every sunday that we do get to regret why we moved out of our parents' house..away from being pampered by our parents..close to being robbed in a middle of nowhere.. close to paying bills, close to becoming on the verge of having an insanely independent life. yup, sunday sucks.. hey, maybe i should change my blog to "everything sucks". yup, i always whine..yup..yup.yup. you may get tired of hearing my rants and stuff. and I know that it's a new year.. like i said, resolutions are overrated.. another reason why i hate sundays is because it's the day before monday. when i was still schooling it's like the last day you'd be able to bum around. when i was in college.. i hardly had the time to be a bum.. sundays are like any other day. sunday mornings sucks specially when it's really early.. you get this nostalgic and lazy feeling at the pit of your stomach.. like the feeling of going to sunday school or to some other obligation like club meetings or finishing school projects, beating deadlines. The worst part is having the thought of waking up on a monday morning. It like swallowing a bitter pill. The open arms of slavery welcomes you back to it's suffocating embrace, melodramatic, I know. and i'm making such a big deal out of it. coz that's what i always do..on sunday mornings

it's been a year...

wow. it's been a year since my mom passed on..yup it's been a long time. and i've felt like a part of me died with her.it's been that long but her memory will always be with me as if.. as if she is still here..as if she's just by my side..or as if she just hasn't come home yet coz she still at work or somewhere partying with her friends..I'll always remember, if even i know my short term memory is slipping...coz as her epitaph says..she will live FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS..

it's been a year.. well, it has been a year ,last jan 5. Jan 5,a day i've learned to dread the most. i know i'll get over it somehow. after all, it's been a year! yet, it always feel like yesterday.

bloody hell

Q:Name 1 or more uncomfortable situation(s) you've been into???

A:
1. Knowing that your pants is drenched in spots of blood coz dammit it's your first day and you were careless enough not to change. You were in a hurry to get home and You were uber confident and in the "it-has-never-and-it-will-never-happen-to me mode". Facing the fact that you're dead meat. Public humiliation at its best.
2. Knowing that you can no longer do anything about the fact that you're in a moving vehicle and getting out would be an act of suicide.
3. Realizing that stupidity can be displayed in such effortless manner. You cover your behind with your sling bag as you scamper away praying that no one would notice your predicament.
4. Realizing that you no matter how hard you try you cannot play smooth criminal and get yourself out of one of the most embarrassing experiences yet..

what a way to start the year! way to go! bravo!!

Lesson learned:

Follow the girl scouts' motto. Always be prepared. Wear a diaper next time. It may be uncomfortable but at least not as uncomfortable as this bloody experience.

here's a bloody mary..

cheers!

Are You One of Us?

Last christmas..No hearts were broken, no other body parts got mangled except for yup... the one on top.. our brain. Ariane's bro while in the middle of our drinking session brought up a piece of paper containing 33 items of MENSA Brainteasers. Five of us in the dining table excluding the bro..5 incapacitated brains..by booze and by.. well...mental capacity itself perhaps were bombarded with those items. As you all know MENSA is an organization for the gifted.. not for the special people including myself but for the mentally gifted..

Want a shot?

Here goes: (copied in verbatim)

You have to work on what the letters mean. See No, 0 as an example. According to MENSA, if you get 19+, you are a "genius". Only 2 MENSA Members achieved full marks. See how well you do.

Scoring: 1 to 5 is average, 6-11 is somewhat intelligent, 12-18 intelligent 19+ genius

0.) 24 H in a D 24 Hours in a Day
1.) 26 L of the A
2.) 7 D of the W
3.) 7 W of the W
4.) 12 S of Z
5.) 66 B of the B
6.) 52 C in a P (W Js)
7.) 13 S in the U S F
8.) 18 H on a G C
9.) 39 B of the O T
10.) 5 T on a F
11.) 90 D in a R A
12.) 3 B M (S H T R)
13.) 32 is the T in D F at which W F
14.) 15 P in a R T
15.) 3 W on a T
16.) 100 C in a R
17.) 11 P in a F (S) T
18.) 12 M in a Y
19.) 13 is U F S
20.) 8 T on a O
21.) 29 D in F in L Y
22.) 27 B in the N T

24.) 13 L is a B D
25.) 52 W in a Y
26.) 9 L of a C
27.) 60 M in an H
28.) 23 P of C in the H B
29.) 64 S on a C B
30.) 9 P in S A
31.) 6 B to an O in C
32.) 1000 Y in a M
33.) 15 M on a D M C

==end==

Clue: It could be anything under the sun, brother. I mean anything. It's good for people who are well-read as well as for those we can call natural geniuses (street-smart people). After all, MENSA is for all gifted people from all walks of life..

What are you waiting for? Grab pen and paper or open a notepad and answer away.

Conclusion: Dare I say, I had the worst brain drain ever. And yup, 5 heads are better than one. So if you'd combine all these 5 grey matters, you got yourself a genius! So, are you one of us??

Don't feel bad if you're alone in this endeavor. After all who are the top 2% in this population, the likes of Sharon Stone to name one..and who else? I have no idea.

Yup, I'm no genius! Heck, who gives?? But surely I can come up with intellectually stimulating questions like:

When will Orlando Bloom?
Why is Norman Black?
Does Jennifer Love Hewitt?

Yup, it sucks.. But that's life.

Congratz to you Aya Jun2 and Raph, kayo mga tinaguriang PINOY GENYO!!

BRING IT ON, 2007!!

Hmmmp.. reality check.. Let's take a look at my life so far..

I've lived to see

2 Popes
4 Presidents

lived in
4 different houses make this one i'm staying in my 5th

played chess and basketball but never got into any varsity and such

won 4 major elections but always hated politics

watched over 450 movies and counting

listened to over 1, 500 songs and counting (from rock to nursery rhymes)

got hooked to 50 t.v. shows and counting..

been to places as far as Boracay and as near as your next restroom

written on, printed and thrown over a 1.0 mil. sheets of paper to which every tree is accounted for

bled over 0.5 mil of pens scribbling thoughts only 67 of which converted into poetry the rest may have been school notes, letters, journals, or merely vandals

and the numbers kept on increasing..

We only have one life. Cats have nine. I don't get the point. Why do they have nine when in this lifetime, we humans don't get a lot of chances. Although every year we do get a chance to make things right if not better. I don't know why not all of us don't use that chance. Maybe they're more confident than a lot of us are. They think they got all the time in the world. One life. Limited chances. Unlimited options.

Bring it on, 2007! It ain't the movie. Life isn't. Hope we learn to take the right chances if not the better ones.
